How We Made It

Making Zelda come to life is a difficult process!

Every single thing you see on the costumes was made by someone from The Zelda Project team. While we aren’t able to document everything, there are certain things that we have been able to document in our process, and here we share them with you.

Everything Ear Casting! - The Zelda Team, including Sheik, Link, Malon, Zelda, and Saria get down to business learning how to pull molds of their ears in order to create ear negatives, which then become ear positives to sculpt off of.

Exploring the Garment District for Supplies - A video documentary as Sarah and Joellen explore Los Angeles’ downtown fabric district in search of supplies for Link, Saria, and Princess Zelda’s costume. A little inside peak on the design process.
